The Dead Girls‘ newest “hit song” that will never be heard on the radio (ha!) is called “She Laughed a Little,” and it has become a staple of the bands’ live shows. Since we put out the full-length “Out of Earshot” LP in 2010, Rocket Heart Records been itching to do a 7-inch with the band. When they went into Art House Studios to record “She Laughed a Little,” we knew we had the perfect single. It’s full of the upbeat, hooky rock that The Dead Girls are known for, and is guaranteed to get stuck in your head all day.

The B-side, “It’s All Happening,” is a treat as well. It’s a one-off song written and recorded in four hours when Motion City Soundtrack singer/guitarist Justin Pierre came into town for a day. The Dead Girls then called up former Blackpool Lights/Creature Comforts/Ultimate Fakebook multi-instrumentalist J.D. Warnock to create a three-vocal/four guitar/six-man wall of sound. The epic super-catchy thumper of a song has since been remixed and remastered exclusively for this release. Simply put, it rocks.

We’re throwing in two really cool never-before-released demo versions of Dead Girls songs as extra bonuses for different premium levels on mp3, “Standby” and “Watchful Eye.” Keen ears might recognize parts that were reworked into “Out of Earshot” tunes. Posters, featuring badass artwork by Megan Borque, are autographed by all six players and are also available as premiums.

We’re really excited about this super-limited run. All funds go right into the pressing, since we are a small vinyl-only label and we only put out records we believe in. It was great seeing so many old school and new school UFB fans.

Now most of you have been scratching your head and asking “where is my UFB vinyl?”

And we have an answer. As you know we ran a pretty tight deadline with our pressing company. During pressing one of the machines broke and a new part had to be ordered.

In that process, some of the copies of Electric Kissing Parties had to be scrapped. They were able to send us a partial order and we are waiting for the rest. While broken parts on the presser gets fixed.

We found out that if one thing doesn’t click, the whole process is thrown off balance.

With that said, we will be getting the remaining records in early next week and shipping everyone on Kickstarter asap.

Once all Kickstarter’s are taken care of, we will then open up the online store.

Sorry for the wait guys and we really appreciate what every UFB fan has done to get this pressing made.

We are two shows in the Ultimate Fakebook’s “Four Show Parties.”  We are super excited for tomorrows show at The RecordBar.  This show is like a blast from the past and will rock so hard!

With that said, we have some good and bad news.  As always, good news first!

If you pre-ordered any package involving Electric Kissing Parties on black vinyl you can pick it up at tomorrows show!

Just bring proof of the shipping address you used to pre-order your copy and it’s yours!

Now the bad news.  Due to time restraints we have been unable to get the shipment of Electric Kissing Parties on red vinyl on time. If you pre-ordered a package with the red vinyl, you can still pick up your black copy a the show and we will ship you the red copy when we get them in.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we will get your copy to you as soon as possible.  We are very grateful for the Ultimate Fakebook fans that have made this pressing possible.
